A major sod installation (on top of the former massive bunker on the first hole) is just one of the major improvements going on at Georgetown Golf Club since Fall 2024. All new Billy Bunkers with beautiful sand. A scenic course, great membership and excellent staff makes for a top notch experience. Now if only they could make the 10th hole a little easier lol

Despite a Leafs playoff game going on, there was a good turnout to present a cheque for more than $10,000 to The Darling Home for Kids. We were treated to a presentation on the great work they do, followed by three members representing organizations to be voted on. Pleased to say that the Ironwood Project was selected to receive the funds this time. Looking forward to hearing from them at the next meeting. Interested in joining us? Please reach …

This is by far the best churros I've ever had. You have to go to The Mexican Way in Acton to give it a try. The staff are very friendly as well.

The swans at Blue Springs Golf Club were a little shy on Sunday. Hopefully it's just early season jitters, and they get used to all the golfers coming by

Got to try Church's Chicken (at the mall) today. The owner is a great guy. The chicken strips are absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the buttery biscuit and onion rings so much, I forgot to take a picture until I was done. I brought these home to eat later because I was too full. Highly recommend.

All the signage is gone from Allison's Farm Market on Eighth Line. I guess it's only a matter of time now. Hard to believe the 50-year-old farm will soon be homes. But I guess that's progress. Their new location on 15 Sideroad won't be as convenient, but I'm sure it will still be worth the drive.

An informative afternoon at the Georgetown Hospital Foundation's Donor Appreciation event. I was fortunate to be selected to represent Halton Hills Today.
It was interesting hearing about everything that goes into running a hospital, and how expensive all the equipment is. Many people don't realize that the government pays for the building and staff, but equipment expenses are the responsibility of the hospital, and the need is great. A very …

The Head for the Hills Craft Beverage Festival hosted an Open House Tuesday evening to talk about the upcoming 10th Anniversary edition of the popular festival on Sept 13 2025. Over the past nine years, the event has raised over $570,000 for deserving local charities. All thanks to the collaboration of all five Halton Hills service clubs: Kin, Kiwanis, Lions, Optimist and Rotary, and hundreds of volunteers each year.
